    This was purchased as a gift to replace a 50 yr old sewing machine that finally broke down. the setup was very easy for the recipient. She is nearing 80 yrs old and didn't even need to look at the instructions. Intuitive machine and it makes nice stitching.

    Jammed Temporarily – GOOD NOW!

    I was so excited to get sewing again. My fault for not reading the review.s 2 months in it jammed for good. No thanks Singer. No instructions to help those with issues to find resolutions. Here, a chat to discuss your issues? $5 please. Enter your credit card info. It felt like a scam. No thanks. Wow, CORRECTION. Not giving up on it tho, I went back to the machine and all I did was take out the bobin again, remove the outer ring by flipping out the two black tabs, and that half circle comes out….I held it exactly as it came out, and put it back in exactly, wiggled it a bit so I was sure, put back the out ring and flipped in the two black tabs to secure it. And, just by doing that, it may have "re-set" it enough where it was WORKING NOW!! I was so happy. So, make a note of this just in case this happens to you.

    Yup I'm a total beginner!! I have sewn before but 38 years ago. So!! I was looking for a easy, basic sewing machine that was was easy to thread. That's my issue, the threading of the machine. This machine comes with picture instructions. No problem threading until the last step, my machine has to be hand threaded even though this machine comes with a hook threader that didnt work. But after about 15 minutes, I realized I could just hand thread the needle and all is well!! So far I love this simple, easy machine.

    I have had this a few days. I set it up out of the box and ran a piece of thin cotton thru it. I thought all was well. But now when I try to sew 2 pieces of cotton together, it just balls up and makes a mess. I have spent hours trying to make this work. It will not sew thru a thin piece of terry cloth. I am so disappointed! I wanted to love this little machine, It is light weight and easy to tote, but I can't for the life of me get it to sew. Th needle threader is difficult to operate, it did push the thread thru a time or two, but not any more – that feature is completely worthless. Will be going back ASAP.

    This is a light weight machine. I purchased it for my aging mother. She can lift it, it sews well, easy to load the thread but the auto needle threader is a bit difficult as she doesn't see close up and there's a bit of fiddling around to get the thread to load onto the needle correctly.

    La compré como regalo para mi mamá y ella quedó feliz. Puede parecer complicada al principio pero cuando la conoces bien es muy fácil de usar. Yo que en mi vida había usado una máquina de coser, pude usarla sin problema. Al ser un producto importado todo viene en inglés (que puede no ser un problema para algunos), pero en YouTube hay muchos tutoriales que son muy útiles para aprender a usarla.
